How to Change SimpliSafe Plan? [Upgrade and Downgrade]

Is It Possible to Change SimpliSafe Plans?

Yes, it is possible to switch SimpliSafe plans. They offer flexibility in their monitoring and protection services, allowing users to change SimpliSafe subscriptions as needed.

Note: You can even use SimpliSafe without a paid plan. 

How Do I Change My SimpliSafe Plan?

You can upgrade your SimpliSafe monitoring plan by accessing your account online or via the mobile app. However, if you want to downgrade your SimpliSafe plan, you will have to contact SimpliSafe customer support.

How to Upgrade SimpliSafe Monitoring Plan?

There are two methods available for you to upgrade your SimpliSafe plan.

Upgrade the SimpliSafe plan via the Web app

  1. First, access the web browser of your device and log in to your SimpliSafe account by entering your email address and password.
  2. Once you log in to your account, navigate to “monitoring” which you should find on the left side of your SimpliSafe account’s interface.
  3. Now, you will see an option to upgrade your SimpliSafe plan. Click on “upgrade”.
  4. Opt for the most suitable SimpliSafe subscription for you. 

Upgrade the SimpliSafe plan via the Mobile App

  1. Go to the SimpliSafe app and log in to your account by entering SimpliSafe login credentials.
  2. You will see three lines at the top of your screen. Click on it.
  3. Locate “plan and Billing”
  4. Click on your existing plan and upgrade to the new one as needed. 

How to Downgrade SimpliSafe Monitoring Plan?

To downgrade the SimpliSafe plan, call  SimpliSafe customer service at 1-888-783-8441.

They will ask for the “Safe Word” before changing the SimpliSafe plan. You can find your “Safe Word” by navigating to the SimpliSafe mobile app > Menu (three bars) > Location Profile > Safeword. 

Note: Downgrading your SimpliSafe monitoring plan is not possible via the web or mobile app. In addition, if you want to cancel the SimpliSafe subscription, you can do it by contacting their customer service. 

What are the Available SimpliSafe Monitoring Plans?

SimpliSafe has three monitoring plans plus the free plan.

  • Fast Protect (Interactive Monitoring) – Costs you 99 cents per day
  • Standard Monitoring – Costs you 66 cents per day
  • Self Monitoring – Costs you 33 cents per day
  • Free Plan – No cost (With basic features)
